my blue Christmas tree

You Should Have a Blue Christmas Tree

For you, the holidays represent a time of calm, understanding, and peace.

You avoid family fights, and you don't get too stressed out - even when things are crazy!

You like to make Christmas about making everyone's life a little bit better.

You don't get caught up in greed or commercialism. You're too sincere for that.

Your blue tree would look great with: Lots of silver tinsel.

You should spend Christmas Eve watching:
It's a Wonderful Life

What you should bake for Santa:
Chocolate chip cookies

Aaw! About six years ago, I received my first pay check and the first thing I bought was a three-meter high Christmas tree. I enjoyed decorating it every year and I had it lighted up with blue tiny Christmas lights at night. I simply loved staring at my tree on cold nights in our front porch. Now, I am home sick hihi.

Good night everyone! Hubby and I are going out for a quick halo-halo before hitting the bed. Till next time!!

car loan financing tips

To own a car is perhaps most people's biggest dream. Thus they resort to all types of schemes and loans just to drive their own wheels -- whether a brand new one or pre-owned. But do you know the risks when applying for car loans? You may think a great auto loan made your life easier but there are so many hidden tricks and charges when you apply for one. Read further on this very helpful website that I discovered and learn what you should know before submitting that loan application.

There is a website called GetTheBestAutoLoan.com which aims to help and educate consumers in the various aspects of auto loan application. For instance, the website advises you to get a copy of your credit report long before you should apply for auto loans. And when you have secured that great car loan, what will be the next step? According to the website, you must find the same great deal for an auto insurance. And just what are the basics of an auto insurance? These tips along with engaging topics such as traffic myths and history of great car manufacturers can all be found on the website.

So whether this is your first car loan or your second and third, a quick visit to this website is a must. You can also get a car quote here that is absolutely free of charge.

have a good laugh!

It is Eid Al Adha here in the UAE so hubby is on vacation until the 23rd. No need to wake up early so we enjoyed our own sweet time last night and headed to Wafi City. Oh I just could not get enough of their lovely Christmas decorations which incorporated the Chronicles of Narnia. Yep, there was the Ice Queen in her beautiful Ice Castle, there was the giant Christmas tree decked with pretty blue balls and guarded by cuddly polar bears! Wafi put out a really amazing fantasy show!

Now I feel so Chrismassy hihi. So early this morning, let me share with you some funny Christmas quotes. Have a break, have a good laugh!

Once again we find ourselves enmeshed in the Holiday Season, that very special time of year when we join with our loved ones in sharing centuries-old traditions such as trying to find a parking space at the mall.We traditionally do this in my family by driving around the parking lot until we see a shopper emerge from the mall, then we follow her, in very much the same spirit as the Three Wise Men, who 2,000 years ago followed a star, week after week, until it led them to a parking space. ~ Dave Barry

The Supreme Court has ruled that they cannot have a nativity scene in Washington, D.C. This wasn't for any religious reasons. They couldn't find three wise men and a virgin. ~ Jay Leno

In the old days, it was not called the Holiday Season; the Christians called it 'Christmas' and went to church; the Jews called it 'Hanukka' and went to synagogue; the atheists went to parties and drank. People passing each other on the street would say 'Merry Chris
tmas!' or 'Happy Hanukka!' or (to the atheists) 'Look out for the wall!' ~ Dave Barry

I stopped believing in Santa Claus when I was six. Mother took me to see him in a department store and he asked for my autograph. ~ Shirley Temple

Christmas is a time when everybody wants his past forgotten and his present remembered. What I don't like about office Christmas parties is looking for a job the next day. ~Phyllis Diller

Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall. ~Larry Wilde

Yay! It's raining great opps here in Smorty and I need a quick interim hihi. So I hopped to blogthings and took a quick fun quiz. Thank you to Blogthings! You have no idea how many bloggers out there appreciate your website.

You Are Vixen

Sexy and sultry, you're the one all the other reindeer dream about.

Why You're Naughty: That fur pulling spat you got into with Dancer over Santa.

golden Beetle anyone?

A model poses next to a 1968 Volkswagen Beetle covered in tiles made of a blend of 18 carat gold at this year's Luxury Show in Romania.

The working car is on sale for Dhm323,000. It is not street legal in Romania because of its reflective body. Well, whoever would even consider buying this golden oldie, probably has a couple of "ordinary" Porsches lying around the grounds already hehe.

of love and roses

Yay! I am sooo busy these days preparing for the baby, and wrapping Christmas gifts for hubby' s officemates and his club parties. I also have to do some reviews and add some links of new blogger friends. To all, thank you so much for visiting. I beg of you to understand a soon-to-be mom hihi. To start my make-up visits, I am doing this taggie from Wersp.

Your Love is Represented by a White Rose

While you may or may not be totally naive, you do approach love with an eternal innocence.

You love like you've never been hurt. And you put all your faith in your partner.

Your philosophy on love is: be honest and be yourself.

Oooh, I have always loved white roses. In fact, the skin of my friendster profile is filled with white roses! see the snapshot? hihi. You are welcome to add me as a friend. And yes, i do really value honesty in a relationship. As me and my college buddies used to say, "When in doubt, don't." Unless you can totally trust the person to be honest and loyal to you, then don't plunge in a relationship with him coz it will never get you far, baby!

Thank you, Wersp, for the taggie! I think there is some truth in here hihi. Tag me anytime because I do really enjoy doing them.

dune rules

The annual Gulf Fun Drive is here again. Tomorrow, a convoy of 350 off-road vehicles will be flagged-off slicing through the desert sands of Liwa. For the six-hour drive, here are the dune rules to follow:

1. Do not lose sight of the car ahead of you in order to stay on course.

2. Follow the route notes.
3. Enter all GPS coordinates before you start.
4. Nervous riders may shut their eyes, especially while driving down steep slopes.
5. Don't do stunts such as 'doughnuts' on soft tires.
6. Don't attempt stunts on an incline.
7. When stuck in the sand, listen to the marshals and follow their advice.
8. Remeber, driving on a hot sand causes tyre pressure to go up.
9. If the vehicle is struggling in the softer sand then stop and reduce tyre pressure.
10. The correct tyre pressure is 15 to 16 psi.
11. Do not push the acceleration too much while negotiating slopes. The rear wheels may bounce up and down.
12. Drive in low gear instead of free wheeling on down slopes.
13. Do not touch the brakes, let the engine do the job.
14. Drive straight and not at an angle on slopes.
15. Enjoy romancing the desert!

lovely beddings

I am almost done decorating the baby's room and I figured why not also a make-over for our bedroom? At least, a new set of bedding will liven up the room instead of our usual tiger prints or flowery comforter.

I searched through the web for some slight make-over ideas but instead, I ran into a website that offers the loveliest beddings I have ever seen! The website is called VisionBedding.com and their wide array of bedding selection will amaze any housewife. There are collection for children, for teens, or for your elder kids at the university. You can even customize the beddings and have your family photo printed on it. Plus, you are also assured that these beddings are made of quality, breathable material. Isn't that all amazing?

Maybe when the baby arrives and we become a complete family, I might just opt for the personalized bedding, but for now, let me show you what I chose for our room. Take a look...

Beautiful, don't you think? I think it will go very well with our all white bedroom. The red swirl will provide just the right elegant accent for the entire room. Not to mention that it makes it a little romantic hihi.

Well, they also have fun polka dot themed beddings which will make great use for the coming new year so you might as well check their website today.
